Linfield offers a number of renewable scholarships based on academic achievement. Eligibility is based on high school GPA and board scores, either the SAT or ACT exam, and strength of schedule. For additional information regarding merit-based scholarships, consider our Scholarship Calculator.

Students who choose to participate in the test optional path to Linfield will not be considered for our highest merit scholarships. If you believe that your SAT or ACT scores will assist you in achieving a higher scholarship award, we recommend that you submit your scores.
Linfield Scholarship and Visit Weekend
An additional option for qualified prospective freshmen is the Linfield Scholarship and Visit Weekend2020年欧冠联赛赛程. Invited students can participate with the opportunity to win up to three scholarships, ranging from $12,000 - $20,000, in each of 30 subject exams and a general exam covering topics represented in Linfield's general education curriculum. Students must complete the application for admission, and Linfield Scholarship and Visit Weekend, by December 1.

Chemeketa Scholars at Linfield Scholarship
Students participating in the Chemeketa Scholars program at Chemeketa Community College will be considered for a Chemeketa Scholars at Linfield scholarship. The award is $18,000 (minimium) annually. Up to 10 Chemeketa Scholars at Linfield scholarships are available annually.
2020年欧冠联赛赛程Consideration for the Chemeketa Scholars at Linfield scholarship is given to admitted transfer students with at least a 3.00 cumulative college GPA. No separate application is required; however, the Office of Admission or the Office of Financial Aid will verify participation in the Chemeketa Scholars program.
A Chemeketa Scholars at Linfield Scholarship is renewable at the same dollar amount for two years of continuous enrollment at Linfield if the recipient maintains good academic standing and applies for renewal in a timely manner.
Students will not be eligible to receive both a transfer scholarship and a Chemeketa Scholars at Linfield scholarship.
Honor Society Scholarships
2020年欧冠联赛赛程Members of Phi Theta Kappa (two-year college honor society) or Alpha Gamma Sigma (California Community College honor society) are eligible for an honor society scholarship up to $3,000.
2020年欧冠联赛赛程Consideration for the honor society scholarship is given to admitted transfer students with at least a 3.00 cumulative college GPA. No separate application is required; however, please notify the Office of Admission or Financial Aid that the honor society membership is current.
The honor society scholarship is renewable each year at the same dollar amount if the student maintains a 3.0 Linfield cumulative GPA and applies for renewal in a timely manner.
2020年欧冠联赛赛程Students are not eligible to receive multiple honor society scholarships if they are members of more than one honor society. Students receiving either a Transfer scholarship or a Chemeketa Scholars at Linfield scholarship are eligible to receive an honor society scholarship.
Linfield College offers academic scholarships for international students. All applicants are automatically considered for a scholarship once they complete an application for admission. Linfield does not offer any “full ride” scholarships to any applicants.
All international applicants must submit the International Financial Guarantee2020年欧冠联赛赛程. This form is an affidavit of financial support showing proof of the student's funding. A personal letter from the parent or guarantor or a copy of a government scholarship letter can substitute for this form.
To streamline the payment process, Linfield College has partnered with . With Flywire, families are offered better foreign exchange rates, the opportunity (in most cases) to pay in the home currency and save money, as compared to fees charged by traditional banks. Families are also notified via email when the payment is received by Linfield.
The top five percent of Linfield's admitted students will receive scholarships so they pay no more than $12,000 in tuition for their first year. Eligible students will be determined on or before March 20, based on weighted GPA (as calculated by Linfield). Transfer students and international students (those requiring a visa) are not eligible. All Linfield scholarships are renewable for up to four years.

The Linfield First Scholarship is designed to address First Gen challenges and build upon the skills and experience First Gen students bring to campus.
The Music Department offers scholarships available by audition for music majors and minors (Music Achievement Awards) and majors, minors and non-majors (Music Participation Grants). Auditions enable the Music Department to recognize and provide scholarship assistance to students who have had successful participation in music. Eligible applicants must have applied for admission. Students intending to major or minor in music will be considered for both Music Achievement Awards and Participation Grants. Students not intending to major or minor in music will be considered for Participation Grants only. Additional information regarding awards and the audition process is available from the department.
Students participating in Linfield's marching band are eligible for a scholarship up to $2,000 annually. Students planning to participate in marching band should indicate their past and future involvement on the Activities section of their Common Application.
The Alumni Scholarship Fund was established in 1988-89 by Linfield Alumni Association. The scholarship is awarded to students who meet the minimum GPA of 3.25, demonstrate involvement in school and/or community activities and are children, grandchildren or siblings of Linfield alumni. A separate application is required and the scholarship recipients will be selected by the Alumni Scholarship Committee. Scholarships are typically awarded in the amount of $1,250 per year and are guaranteed for first and second years of attendance. For third and fourth years, recipients must maintain a Linfield cumulative GPA of 3.0 in order to continue receiving the award.

Grants and Loans
Depending on your financial situation, you may receive grants (need-based award that aren’t repaid) or low-interest federally-backed loans, some of which do not start accruing interest until after you graduate. Any student who files the Free Application for Federal Student Aid () will qualify for federal student loans regardless of financial need.
2020年欧冠联赛赛程Students may submit the FAFSA® beginning October 1. First-year students applying as Early Action candidates will receive an estimate of need-based financial aid by January 15. All first-year students will receive an offer of financial aid by April 1. Transfer applicants for fall start will receive an offer of financial aid by May 15. All students considering spring start will receive an offer of financial aid by December 15.
All students at Linfield will be offered the financial support to work on campus through Federal Work Study (need-based work opportunities) or Campus Employment (non-need-based work). Both funding sources provide students with approximately 10 hours a week at Oregon minimum wage over the course of the academic year. Students are not guaranteed a position on campus, and must apply for openings as listed on CatConnect through the Office of Career Development.

Notes about Tuition and Fees:
January Term: Tuition is not charged during January Term. Each course is $260 per credit. Students typically take 4 or 5 credits, with the average cost of coursework at $1,040-1,300. January Term is optional for all students.
Housing: Residence hall room costs are based on a standard, double-occupancy room. On-campus apartment costs range from $3,150-$3,915 per semester. Students are required to live on campus through the third year, with few exceptions.
Meal Plans: All new students living in a residence hall are assigned Meal Plan A, which provides for Unlimited Meals in Dillin Dining Hall (open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on weekdays and brunch and dinner on weekends), and 125 Flex Dollars, good for purchase of food and beverage at the Wildcat Express in Dillin Dining Hall and Starbucks in Riley Campus Center. During January Term, students are assigned Meal Plan D, which provides for Unlimited Meals in Dillin Dining Hall and 30 Flex Dollars. The cost of groceries for students living in on-campus apartments varies based on diet and lifestyle.
Health Insurance: Health Insurance is required for all students. This may be waived if a student is covered by a parent or guardian’s insurance policy. Please check with your insurance provider regarding coverage for your student while in Oregon and at college. Students who wish to purchase health insurance for fall and spring semester will pay $1,437.50 per semester (for a total of $2,875 for the year). International students cannot waive insurance, regardless of coverage provided by a parent, guardian or home country insurance policy or program.
